Obituary

Wilmer W. "Bill" Siebert, age 90, longtime town of Gibson resident, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, January 25, 2026 with his family at his side.

Bill was born in the town of Morrison, Brown County, on December 7, 1935 to Edmund and Mathilda (Rose) Siebert. He attended Wayside Lutheran School and Reedsville High School. He then served his country during the Korean Conflict as a proud member of the U.S. Army. Bill was united in marriage to Janet M. Herrmann on July 6, 1960 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kellnersville. The couple was blessed with nine children and 65 years of marriage.

Bill was employed for many years as a die-setter and supervisor at Mirro Aluminum and later worked in maintenance for Martin School of Hair Design. He was also a certified auto mechanic. Bill will be remembered as "Jack of All Trades", as he could fix anything! He was always up for any woodworking, electrical, heating or plumbing job; he was eager to work on tractors and engines, and looked forward to any type of farm work needed for relatives or neighbors. He treasured the many years that he enjoyed deer hunting with his boys. Bill was a member of the NRA and longtime member of the American Legion Post #165 of Two Rivers.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Siebert; seven sons: Jim (Cindy) Siebert, Dan (Sue) Siebert, Greg Siebert (Linda McDonald), Randy (Kim) Siebert, Mark Siebert, Steve Siebert, and Todd (Angie) Siebert; one daughter, Vicki Siebert; his grandchildren: Kayla, Kristin, Kyle, Douglas, Jonathan, Morgan, Alex, Samantha, Zach, Lucas, Ashley, Alanna, Logan, Devan, Santanna, and Charlie; eight great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Sarah Siebert. He is further survived by one sister, Dorothy Wendland; two sisters-in-law: Jackie Siebert and Marilee Herrmann; a brother-in-law, Victor (Helen) Herrmann; along with many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Mathilda Siebert; one son, Alan Siebert; siblings: Verona (Aaron) Arveson, Marcie (Harold) Bergelin, Leroy Siebert, Roland Siebert, Darrell Siebert, and infant sister, Doris. He was also preceded by his father & mother-in-law, Victor and Tillie Herrmann; and in-laws: Bernice (Harold) Kabat, Harlan (Angie) Herrmann, Myron Herrmann, Eugene (Verna) Herrmann; two nieces and two nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 12 o'clock noon on Friday, January 30, 2026 at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S. State Street in Mishicot. Deacon Dan Gray will preside at the service, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mishicot. Military graveside honors will be accorded by members of American Legion Post #165 and VFW Post #1248 of Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, Friday morning from 9:00 until 11:45 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
