William "Bill" R. Beck passed away peacefully at his home in Mishicot on August 16, 2026. Bill was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin, and graduated from William Horlick High School in the class of 1963.
On January 15, 1972, Bill married the love of his life, Donna, beginning a devoted marriage that spanned 54 years. Bill and Donna moved from Racine to the Manitowoc area, where they made their home and raised their family.
Throughout his life, Bill was a hard worker with a diverse career. He served in the United States Navy, managed multiple gas stations for Murphy Oil, owned and operated East Village Bar in Racine, WI, worked as a mechanic, and served as a plumber for Lindsey Water Softener. He earned his Bachelor's degree and went on to spend many years with the Manitowoc County Sheriffs Office, retiring in 2006 at the rank of Deputy Inspector.
Bill was a wise and caring man who touched the lives of everyone he met. He was a loving father, and an amazing grandfather, cherished by his grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna Beck; his children, Andy (Kelly) Beck and Jason Beck; his grandchildren, Ellyse and Kaden Beck; and his step-grandchildren, Stella, Finley, and Harper Erickson. He is further survived by his brothers, Tom Beck (Arizona) and Jim (Sharon) Beck (Waukesha); his sister, Elizabeth Monday (Mishicot); and his nieces and nephews, Lorie (Travis) Riesterer, Scott (Susie) Monday, Kevin (Patricia) Monday, Robert (Christine) Monday, Ryan (Tracy) Monday, and Toni (Vinnie) Beck-Espinoza (California) and close family friend, Kim Bowker (Illinois).
Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheri Beck; his parents, Ralph and Doris Beck; his sister, Janet DeLuca; and his in-laws, Mae and Arthur Dahlke, and brother-in-law Edward Monday.
A private family memorial service will take place with a public Celebration of Life to be held at the Mishicot VFW, on October 11, 2026, from 1 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. The family invites all of Bill's relatives and friends to join them in celebrating Bill's life.
Bill will be deeply missed and will forever be in our hearts.
