Todd J. Peterson

Todd J. Peterson, age 60, rural Chilton resident, entered eternal life early Thursday morning, May 8, 2025 at his residence following a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Two Rivers on August 15, 1964 to Floyd and Doris (Messman) Peterson. He was a 1983 graduate of Mishicot High School. On March 30, 1991, he was united in marriage to Sherie Schnell in Mishicot. The couple was blessed with three children. Todd currently worked, (past 12 years) as head of maintenance personnel at the Fox Hills Condominiums in Mishicot.

Todd was a hard worker his entire life, growing up, working and enjoying the family farm. He loved farming and continued to help out his nephews on the farm. Todd also loved playing and watching all sports. He had a successful high school career, enjoying football, baseball, and basketball the most and continued to be an avid golfer. Over the years, he won multiple sports awards, and dedicated much of his time as a coach, referee, and umpire. He received several coaching awards thru the Valders School District, and touched the lives of many young athletes. In addition to sports, Todd also loved playing cards, deer hunting, cutting wood, and above all spending time with his family.

Todd is survived by his wife, Sherie; three children: TaVea Peterson (Adriana Van den Brink); Sterling (Olivia) Peterson, and Santana (Cassandra) Peterson; his very special grand-fur baby, Portabella mushroom; his brothers & sisters: Chris (Darcy) Peterson, Brian (Lori) Peterson, Carrie Zeman, Cindy (Ozzie) Hoffman; sister-in-law, Ruthann Peterson; and his mother-in-law, Lorraine Schnell. He is further survived by brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law: LaVon Mauer (special friend, Dean Delsart), Henry Schnell, Eddie (Chris) Schnell, Rhonda (Justin) Morelli; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Doris Peterson; one brother, Lee Peterson; father-in-law, Harvey Schnell; two brothers-in-law: Scott Zeman and James Schnell; and a sister-in-law, Jody Boll.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S. State Street in Mishicot, Monday evening, May 12th from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. There will be no formal public funeral service held. Cremation has taken place.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the medical staff members at Oncology of Green Bay, and the caregivers of Sharon Richardson Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion extended to Todd during his brief illness.
