Sylvan A. Petre

Sylvan Austin Petre of Kellnersville, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly in a drowning accident on June 7, 2025, at the age of 12 years, 2 months, and 15 days.

He was born March 23, 2013, in Austin, Texas. He was joyfully welcomed and loved by his parents Kevin and the late Louise Petre and his brother Lamar.

In January 2024 his dear mother passed away leaving a sorrow for the family and church community.

He is survived by his father Kevin, and 1 brother Lamar, age 17 at home, his maternal grandparents Paul and Mabel Brubaker of Oconto, WI, paternal grandparents, Nathan and Evelyn Petre from Pennsylvania, as well as many aunts and uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Louise Petre, his uncle Lamar Brubaker, and cousin Rylan Brubaker.

He will be greatly missed by his family, church community, friends, and neighbors.

There is a visitation on Thursday on June 12, 2025, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at Lakeside Mennonite church 722 Hillview Road, Mishicot, WI 54228.

The funeral will be Friday June 13, 2025, at 10:00 also at Lakeside Mennonite Church.
