Lorraine “Stormi” Puyleart Whetung, age 70, longtime resident of Maribel, entered into eternal life Friday, May 2, 2025 at her residence. Stormi was born May 11, 1954 in Green Bay to Harold and Anna Mae Carslay Puyleart. She married Michael G. Whetung July 21, 1973 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Green Bay. For the past 15 years she has assisted her son Donald H. in the operation of the Bottom’s Up Tavern in Maribel. She was a member of the VFW Post #6705 Auxiliary in Denmark, and attended St. James Catholic Church in Cooperstown where she was a member of the churches Prayer Chain.

Stormi is survived by her loving husband Mike, her three children, Michael Lee Whetung and his significant other Caley Curtis, of TN. Sherri Whetung, of Denmark, and Donald H. Whetung, of Maribel, three grandchildren, Brittany VanHulle, Deidra, and her partner Carlos, and Miranda Whetung. She is further survived by her sister, Lynn (Steve) Langenberg, and by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-Law, Debbie Puyleart, Gary Blanz, Sharon and Leonard Thyrion, Patti Besson, Jenny and Bobby Thyrion, Billy Whetung, Judy Nys, Jeff and Tina Whetung, and by many special nieces and nephews and a family friend Jackie Novy.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Leonard Puyleart, three sisters, Lois Blanz, Lucille (Ron) Kurkowski, Laverne “Bunny” (Daniel) Buss, a brother-in-law, Donald Whetung, and a niece, Jessica Puyleart.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025 at the Gatherings 43, at 623 DePere Road in Denmark, WI located behind the DeGrand Family Restaurant. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. led by Deacon Cal Naidl.

Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

The Whetung family wishes to express a very special thank you to Stormi’s Doctors, Nurses, and Hospice of Aurora for the special care extended to her during her illness. Your kindness will always be remembered.
