Joseph D. “Joe” Tuschel, age 57, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday morning, December 7, 2025, at his home.
Joe was born in Manitowoc on March 25, 1968, to the late Donald and Shirley (Loeh) Tuschel.
He was united in marriage to Kathleen Ruttner on July 26, 2003. The couple was blessed with 22 years of marriage.
Joe worked at Nemak in Sheboygan for 37 years as a second operation aluminum die cast worker. In his free time, he loved hunting, camping, four wheeling and UTV riding on trails. He also enjoyed being outside, cutting wood, and going to rummage sales. Above all else, Joe loved visiting and spending time with his family and telling stories. Joe also loved watching Packers games with Sonny and Karen, especially when they played the Bears. He was a member of the Larrabee Sportsmen’s Club as well as the Maribel Sportsmen’s Club.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; two daughters, Cassandra Fiala and Brigett Blake; two brothers, Scott (Kerri) Tuschel, Paul (Christine) Tuschel; nieces and nephews, Victoria, Christopher Jr., Scotty (Cody), Ashley, Cole, and Mackenzie; many aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews, and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Shirley; his mother and father-in-law, LaVerne and Burton Ruttner; and his brothers, Chris, Billy, and Brian Tuschel.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Town of Gibson. Rev. Joel Stuebs will officiate at the service with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home on Friday evening, December 12, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. concluding with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church Saturday morning, December 13, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services 11:00 a.m.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Aurora BayCare Pulmonary team, the Oncology team, the ER and ICU staff, the staff of Moments Hospice as well as the County Rescue for all their care provided to Joe.
