James R. "Jim" Rehbein, Sr., 73, lifelong town of Gibson resident died Monday, February 23, 2026 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, surrounded by his family.
Jim was born January 29, 1953 in Gibson to Harry and Theresa (Ronk) Rehbein. He attended the Larrabee and Jambo Creek Schools, and graduated from Mishicot High School with the class of 1971. He then furthered his education, earning an associate degree from Lakeshore Technical College. Jim drove school bus and milk truck for a number of years and devoted his life to farming. He continued the operation of the family farm until recent years when health issues no longer allowed him to work the farm. Jim loved his farm, any mechanic work, and was Jack-of-all trades, always there to help anyone who needed a hand. Although James never officially retired, and was enjoying his vacation time he said he had banked all his life. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, teaching them to learn new things, reading recipe books and creating a new meal, and occasional tours along the countryside reminiscing about the past.
Survivors include his children: Becky (Steven) Kvitek, Amanda "Mandy" Rehbein (significant other Joe Pelishek), and James (Heidi) Rehbein, Jr., all of Mishicot; three grandchildren: Carlene Kvitek, Bryer Schefe, and Eleanor Rehbein. He is further survived by two sisters: Jeanne (Milton) Schley and Hazel Rehbein; niece, Ginger; nephew, Jeff; and neighbor & close friend, Robert Menchl. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will greet relatives and friends Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S. State Street, Mishicot from 9:00 until 11:30 a.m. A memorial service led by Christal Wavrunek will conclude the visitation at 11:30 a.m.

The Rehbein family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff who cared for Dad during his last few years, especially Jordyn who cared for Dad in his final days.
