James “Jimmer” Joseph Niemojuski, 70, passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by family on the morning of September 18, 2026. He was born November 17, 1955 to parents Clarence J. and Shirley M. (Poquette) Niemojuski. James served in the United States Marine Corps and then went to work for Mirro Aluminum before spending his career as a welder for Kewaunee Fabrications. In 1985, he married Debra Pekarek. The pair were blessed with more than 40 years of marriage, with Debbie by his side until the very end.

Jimmer enjoyed spending time outdoors - hunting, fishing, yard work and gardening. His retirement gift to himself was his prized Kubota with a variety of attachments to help him all around the property. He was a skilled woodworker, making countless pieces of furniture and even building Debbie’s greenhouse himself. He loved cooking for his family and the highlight of every summer was the 4th of July cookout at James and Debbie’s house. Perhaps above all, James was a dedicated grandfather to his grandchildren. He was a role model, a spoiler, and a teacher – passing along skills and lessons that his family will cherish forever.

James is survived by his beloved wife Debra Niemojuski of Kewaunee; his son Jesse Niemojuski of Manitowoc; his daughter Amber (Mark Rohan) Niemojuski of Kewaunee; and three adored grandchildren Jarek Niemojuski, Arianna Niemojuski, and Axton Bashkier. He also leaves behind his sisters Jean Niemojuski, Laurie Niemojuski, and Joy (Benny) Niemojuski; in-laws Patricia Niemojuski, Tina Niemojuski, Duane (Veronica) Pekarek, Dean (Clara) Pekarek, Darrell Pekarek, Darwin (Nancy) Pekarek, Darin (Margo) Pekarek, Tim Mumper, Delmar (Christine) Pekarek, and Dotsie Pekarek, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He will be missed by his loyal companion – his dog Rosie – whose company was an incredible comfort to Jimmer in his final days.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence J. and Shirley M. (Poquette) Niemojuski; his brothers Clarence Jr., Ron, Daniel, David, and Michael Niemojuski; sisters-in-law Darlene Mumper and Corinne Pekarek; and mother-in-law and father-in-law Dayton and Irene Pekarek.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 26 at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S. State Street in Mishicot with Christal Wavrunek officiating. Prior to the service, the Niemojuski family will receive guests from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
