Elroy A. Ringmeier, age 85, lifetime resident of the town of Two Creeks, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 after a brief battle with cancer, with his family at his side.

Elroy was born in Two Rivers on October 31, 1940 to Raymond and Lorene (Lawrence) Ringmeier. He attended area schools, graduating from Washington High School in Two Rivers. On June 3, 1961, he was united in marriage to Janice M. Muench in Kellnersville. Together the couple owned & operated Jan & Elroys Bar from 1969 to 1975. They also farmed for many years in the town of Two Creeks. Janice preceded him in death December 16, 1997.

At the age of 14 he began driving milk truck for Mishicot Dairy as well as helping his mother on the farm. He eventually bought his parents farm while also working out at Paragon Electric; he also worked for Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry, and retired from LDI Industries in 2009. After many years of farming, Elroy sold his farm to his son Randy, but continued to help on the farm. Elroy was never one to sit still. While owning the tavern, he sponsored many different leagues; he organized the Kettle Range Snowmobile Riders; he was a longtime member of the Manitowoc County Farm Bureau where he held several officer positions including Past President; and was a very active member of the Two Rivers Lions Club for 40 years. He served the Lions club as president in 1989-1990, treasurer in 1992-1993, and was recipient of the Melvin Jones Award. He was currently a member of the Mishicot Lions Club. Elroy was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot; he was an avid bowler for many years; and he loved to go to Polka dances. Above all, Elroy loved spending time with his family – his kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Christmas was always a special time for him as he looked forward to gathering with family at their condos.

Survivors include his daughter, Vickie (Tim) Sisel; and son, Randy (Chris) Ringmeier, all of Two Creeks; 13 grandchildren, Jennifer Gilespie, Jason (Jenny) Sisel, Jonathon Sisel, Jeremy (Naomi) Sisel, Justin Sisel, Jeffrey (Kindra) Sisel, Jaclyn Sisel (special friend, Nick), Janelle Sisel, Danielle (Alex) Geiger, Aaron (Meg) Schnell, Dominique Schnell (special friend, Nick), Brandon Ringmeier, and Megan Ringmeier (special friend, Sheldon); 16 great-grandchildren with one arriving in November; and one great-great grandchild coming in January. He is further survived by one sister & brother-in-law, Marlene and Leon Strutz of Two Creeks; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Lorene Ringmeier (Meyer); step-father, Walter Meyer; his wife, Janice; one sister & brother-in-law, Doris (Art) Riesterer; one step-sister & brother-in-law, Charlotte (Roger) Klein; and his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Richard and Luella (Hill) Muench.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Friday, September 18, 2026 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Leo Kondru, with burial in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Friday morning, Sept. 18th from 9:30 until 11:45 am. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
