Obituary

Allan H. “Al” Thielbar, age 88, died Monday morning, February 9, 2026, at Complete Care in Manitowoc.

Al was born on November 27, 1937, in Two Rivers to the late William and Marcella (Sladky) Thielbar. He attended Mishicot High School and graduated with the class of 1957. Following graduation, Al enlisted in the United States Army and served his country overseas in Germany.

On September 1, 1962, he was united in marriage to Bonnie O’Neill at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot. The couple was blessed with 63 years of marriage and 3 children.

Al grew up working on his family’s farm, before getting a job with Hamiliton Industries working as the group leader where he eventually retired from.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman who had a great love for the outdoors. He thoroughly enjoyed being outside, tinkering, cutting wood, and above all else, Al enjoyed drinking his Busch Light.

Al was also a member of the Francis Creek Sportsman Club.

Al is survived by his wife, Bonnie; their children, Dana (Tammy) Thielbar, Kevin Thielbar, Kris (Kenny) Rocheleau; grandchildren, Brandon Gates (special friend, Aly Pierce), Brittney (Austin) Krueger, Miranda Rocheleau, Gabby Rocheleau; great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Pierson Gates, Brexley and Colson Krueger; his brother, Gary (Ruth) Thielbar; and special family friends, Dave and Lorraine Terens, Jerry and Jan Terens, & Randy and Nancy Timmerman. Many nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

In addition to his parents, William and Marcella, he is preceded in death by his sister, Marlene (Denton) Schmidt, his mother and father-in-law, Florence and Lloyd O’Neill, as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law. He was also preceded by lifelong friends, Tom (Helen) Schwake and Lloyd (Kathy) Wilda.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home in Mishicot. Pastor Joel Stuebs will preside at the service with military honors to immediately follow in the parking lot by members of VFW Post #7753 of Mishicot. The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m.
